The thing about games that really gets me (in a good way), is that when you're creating characters and worlds for, say, comics, then you can create absolutely anything you want, and you can have these characters and worlds doing anything you want, and then you can look at them, sitting in their little boxes, not doing anything. With movies you can do almost the same, except of course that it takes a LOT more work to make something believable and to have it blend in realistically with it's surroundings. When done well it can be an amazing visually experience, but again, the image sits in it's little box and you can watch it move around. But with games, you can create the most unbelievable characters, place them in completely outlandish worlds that only need to be believable in themselves, put the whole thing it's little box, and then take control of the little box!

I am a freelance 3D artist that specializes in Architectural and Environment work. My core software's are 3Ds Max, Vue and SketchUp.I have been working in the industry for about 4 years now but only recently started to do finished rendered images, most of my skills up until now have consisted of fast concept modeling of structures for architects using SketchUpI find that by using SketchUp in my workflow I can very quickly model the basic blocks of the job and then move it to 3Ds Max or straight to Vue for rendering.Vue is my environments weapon, although I have a few others, Vue has an incredible diversity with atmospherics and can be easily tweaked to suite clients needs.

I completed internships with Relic Entertainment as a Motion Capture Technician working on &quot;The Outfit&quot; for the Xbox 360, and worked as a 3d modeler for the Canadian Space Agency contributing to the Space Training and Operations Program &ndash; specifically for working on the International Space Station, and Canada&rsquo;s Robotic Systems.
