For as long as I can remember I've had a love of art. As a child I was inspired by cartoons and comic books. Nowadays, with the advances in technology and CG art being here to stay I find the talented work of fellow artists such as those found on CG Talk as well as the current generation of video games to be my biggest inspiration. I'm currently completing a post graduate course at Humber College for 3D Multimedia for Game Design and am more than eager to get my foot into the industry door. My particular areas of interest are Character Concepts and Texturing (organic & non-organic). The programs I use are: 3D Studio Max, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere. I've still got a lot to learn but then again, who doesn't?

Hi I'm Cabrini and I am an amateur artist. I grew up along the east coast and spent my adult life in Las Vegas, where I finished high school and attended New Mexico Highlands University and graduated with a Master’s degree in Media Arts. I have recently designed a 5’ x 4’ instruction panel for Santa Fe Children’s Museum for a pneumatic tube exhibit. Along with the instruction panel, I illustrated a panel showing the history of pneumatic tubes. Next, I was asked to make a five-minute animation for New Mexico Historic Sites to target youth ages 5-10. It is a short that will be on their web sites and shown to schools to encourage kids and parents to explore the historical monuments and history New Mexico has to offer. I have always had a passion for animation and illustration. With that passion, I have been asked to hold workshops for children to show them how to make a simple animation with paper. It is a great way to be inspired. I am also working on graphic novels that deal with Hispanic folklore. This is a project that I am continuing to work on and hope to share with the world.

The thing about games that really gets me (in a good way), is that when you're creating characters and worlds for, say, comics, then you can create absolutely anything you want, and you can have these characters and worlds doing anything you want, and then you can look at them, sitting in their little boxes, not doing anything. With movies you can do almost the same, except of course that it takes a LOT more work to make something believable and to have it blend in realistically with it's surroundings. When done well it can be an amazing visually experience, but again, the image sits in it's little box and you can watch it move around. But with games, you can create the most unbelievable characters, place them in completely outlandish worlds that only need to be believable in themselves, put the whole thing it's little box, and then take control of the little box!
